Alpina Blitz is a steel roller coaster located at Nigloland in Dolancourt, Grand Est, France. It was manufactured by Mack Rides and installed by RCS GmbH.[1]

History

In July 2009, Nigloland announced that it would install a new roller coaster for 2012, its 25th season.[2] In 2010, the opening was pushed back a year, to 2013.[3] It was subsequently revealed that Mack Rides were designing this roller coaster.[4] The opening date was later pushed back further to 2014.

Track arrived on site in November 2013.[1] Alpina Blitz opened on April 12, 2014.[5]

Design

The track layout is similar, but not identical, to that of an Intamin Mega-Lite.

Trains

2 trains with 4 cars per train. In each car, riders are arranged 2 across in 2 rows, for a total of 16 riders per train.
